COFFEE and CHOCOLATE
PROJECTS

Fair Trade Coffee and Chocolate
United is proud to be a partner with Lutheran World Relief in providing Fair Trade products for sale to the congregation. The goal of the project is to provide a market for small farmers where they can sell the fruits of their labor at a fair profit while providing our parishioners with quality products. The coffee cart, located in the narthex of the church, carries a large variety of whole bean and drip coffees in a number of flavors and blends and a delightful selection of chocolate. (Remember: Dark chocolate is heart healthy!) Tea and hot cocoa mix are available, too.
In addition, you will find a lovely selection of gift baskets for all occasions. The Fair Trade Project is not a for profit project. The items are available at cost. Even the baskets are priced based solely on the cost of the items they contain. The members of United donate the baskets, cups and decorations, so the baskets are a wonderful bargain.
By selling through Fair Trade, farmers and artisans build a better future for themselves, their families and their communities. By supporting Fair Trade, we make choices in line with our religious beliefs and affirm human dignity by promoting:
