PIECEMAKERS
Bernice Aden and Marilyn Brown
(Meet every Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. in Luther Hall)

Piecemakers is a group of women that meets every Thursday, all year round, to make quilts, layettes, school kits and health kits which we send to Lutheran World Relief once a year. Our goal is to make 75 of each of the kits and the layettes. We also make quilts for every child that is baptized at United during the year and one for each high school graduate. We also make smaller quilts for the Benton County Children’s Shelter, including some made out of fleece material. The materials used for all these projects are either donated by members of the congregation or purchased with money donated by our members.
In November, 2008, we shipped the following to LWR:
181 Quilts
72 Health Kits
70 School Kits
58 Layettes

In addition we sent quilts and
boxes of
clothing to the Children’s Shelter and Quilts
of Valor to Iraq.
